NASHVILLE, Tenn. – “Rising star to keep an eye on” (People), Tiera, releases the energetic, upbeat song “Shut It Down” available everywhere. The lyric video also dropped today, featuring the R&B country singer dancing in front of a graffiti wall as she sings about staying out late and letting her hair down. Watch the video here.
“I wrote ‘Shut It Down’ at the end of 2019; my co-writers and I walked in the room wanting to write something fun and I think we definitely achieved that,” shares Tiera. “I’ve been jamming to this demo in my car ever since we wrote it and I’m glad I finally get to share it with everyone else.”
“Shut It Down” is the follow up track to “Found It In You,” which Billboard says “shows her potential” and Don’t Rock The Inbox called a “catchy pop-country jam.”
With “a voice that’s equally steeped in country and soul” (Rolling Stone), Tiera releases “Shut It Down” as the second track from her forthcoming EP.
The Alabama native signed her first publishing deal earlier this year as the flagship writer for Grammy nominated songwriter, Nicolle Galyon’s female-focused publishing company, Songs & Daughters, in a co-venture with Big Loud and Warner/Chappell. Tiera also hosts her own daily radio show on Apple Music Country which focuses on new music from up-and-coming artists.
